No doubt: weight loss boils down to a simple calculation. You must eat fewer calories than you burn.

Some even kick your metabolism. So take that list when you go to the supermarket:

5. Eggs and Sausage

A high protein breakfast can help you resist cravings throughout the day.
In a study of a group of young obese women, those who started the day with 35 grams of protein - it is probably much you eat - feel fuller now. Yes, grapefruit can really help you lose a few pounds, especially if you are at risk for diabetes.

Researchers at Scripps Clinic in San Diego found that when obese people ate half a grapefruit before each meal, they fell an average of 3 ½ pounds over 12 weeks. Drink grapefruit juice has the same results.

But grapefruit juice has no proven properties "fat-burning" - it can help people feel full.
